Aloha! Carolyn and I have obviously been offline for some time. The connectivity in our condo wasn't working and I just couldn't bring myself to care. Finally I tinkered with it again this a.m. and decided to post a couple of photos of how hard things have been on us. Last night we attended the Old Lahaina Luau. It was very traditional --- no flame twirlers and hip-hop interpretations of Hawaii classics to keep the kids interested. Just a slow roasted 200 lb piggy, beautiful and talented dancers telling the entire history of the islands. We also learned that the song "Aloha Oe" --- you'll know it when you hear it --- was actually written and composed by Queen Lili'uokalani, the last Queen of Hawaii, an accomplished musician. Can you imagine any world leaders today composing music?
Mahalo for reading!
